PrivateEye – Software for the Truly Paranoid…Or Maybe at Work

by Dave on May 5, 2011

shoulder surfingPC Magazine recently did a review (http://ow.ly/4y5xJ) of PrivateEye – an amazing piece of software from OculisLabs. The point of this software is to protect your data so it reaches only your eyes. Not the neighbor or coworker shoulder surfing behind you.

PrivateEye hides the data on your screen when you’re not looking at it and won’t unlock unless it recognizes your face. Automatically fuzzes screen detail when you’re not looking at it. It also warns you when it detects an eavesdropper in the background.

For those who work with sensitive data, or hardcore road warriors, this could be a highly useful tool.

Be sure to check out the OculisLabs website as they have several neat demos.  http://www.oculislabs.com/
