Password Strength Checker From Microsoft

pasword checkerHere’s a useful tool. It allows you to check the strength of passwords – either your existing passwords or passwords you’re considering using.

I trust this site because
1) It’s Microsoft. Their reputation, especially in the area of security, has dramatically improved over the last several years.

2) At the bottom of this site it says “This password checker does not collect, store, or transmit information.”
It also says “The security of the passwords typed into this password checker is similar to the security of the password you enter when you log on to Windows. The password you enter is checked and validated on your computer. It is not sent over the Internet.” I like that.

3) I’ve roamed a bit through the links on the site and all the advice given is up-to-date and matches what I know from my research on Internet Security across the web.
